These are really fun to make. I love creating dulcimers and experimenting with combinations of woods that make each one just a little different in sound as well as looks. I love the continuous curves and cool woods that I can use for tops along with sides, back, and bindings. But they still have to sound good-all sound different-and the rest is just personal taste.
Below are some dulcimers that are finding homes as far away as Australia, but most are a bit closer.

Dulcimers for sale
I just finished up a few dulcimers that I started back in 2020. I wanted to experiment with some more traditional woods (well a few traditional woods and Mahogany). Someone asked if I'd make them a nice sounding dulcimer and while I was at it I just made a few more.
These dulcimers aren't as fancy as most I make-no bindings or exotic woods but they sound so sweet. They all have Grover open geared tuners because they're good and lightweight to give good balance to the instrument. All have natural bone bridges and saddles in the guitar tradition. Some have an oil finish and some lacquer-I like different finishes for different woods. These sell for $550 shipped to the lower 48 states or $500 for local pickup in Fern Creek, Kentucky. If you contact me below I can play them for you so you can hear how they sound (even though I am not that good of a musician).
